First experimental evidence for topological superconductivity in planar Josephson junctions. InAs 2DEG with epitaxial Al contacts shows closing and reopening of the induced superconducting gap as a function of in-plane magnetic field and phase difference — consistent with a topological phase transition. The planar geometry represents a scalable alternative to nanowire-based Majorana platforms.
