Summary

First deterministic quantum state transfer and remote entanglement between two superconducting transmon qubits on separate chips connected by ~1 m of coaxial cable using itinerant microwave photons. Transfer rate of 50 kHz, photon absorption efficiency of 98.1 ± 0.1%, process fidelity of 80.02 ± 0.07% in 180 ns, and on-demand remote entanglement fidelity of 78.9 ± 0.1%. Uses cavity-assisted Raman process for shaped photon emission and absorption.
